claude has always been on the fringe of the mourn watch, too curious about the possibilities of death for the comfort of his colleagues. on the surface, he seems respectful enough, but little do they know that he has been experimenting on the blight's effects on bodies and the spirits that inhabit them.it started during the fifth blight, when claude was able to successfully source the bodies of grey wardens and darkspawn from ostagar in ferelden. what followed was years of secret, bloody work, sacrificed spirits, and an ever-growing army of undead abominations.claude's methods include dismembering corpses and sewing the limbs of darkspawn onto them, before reanimating the bodies using blood magic, and coaxing a spirit (typically curiosity) to possess the blighted body, resulting in the spirit becoming a demon bound by claude. the creation then has the ability to blight others with their darkspawn limbs while being under total control. claude's army is available to the highest bidder, with the caveat that claude maintains control of his hoard.

TIMELINE.

dragon age: origins: after the battle of ostagar, claude sent word to desperate fereldens that he would pay well for any grey warden or darkspawn bodies they could source for him; thus began his experimentations on blighted bodies and darkspawn.dragon age 2: through the years, claude worked tirelessly to prove his theory that demon-darkspawn hybrids could be controlled with the use of blood magic. around the time of the m in age rebellion in kirkwall, he finally figured it out.

dragon age: inquisition: claude and his blighted demon army were utilized to help corypheus in his goals. claude maintained control over the creatures, calling them back to safety when he realized they were going to lose to the inquisition.dragon age: the veilguard: following the release of the gods, he knew that a brand new opportunity was available to him — the blight to end all blights. his army grew exponentially in strength, and before long the gods came to him, demanding his allyship. he agreed, with one request: he wanted to become something greater.

verse: and your enemies closer. claude is approached by a pragmatic rook and he joins the veilguard, using his army to maintain order in villages that otherwise would have no one to protect them. how long will this alliance last?verse: secret keeper. claude infiltrates the inquistion as an advisor from nevarra. he is able to control his army from the enemy's headquarters. will his allegience remain true?verse: fallout. claude is a prewar ghoul; the only ghoul allowed to operate within the new vegas strip as a mechanic and robot dealer, due to his history with mr. house. former competitors in the robotics industry, claude returned to his former enemy years later desperate for a stable position within his domain. mr. house agreed to his request, as he desperately needed someone proficient with his securitrons.
